About
I have been playing drums since 2002, and teaching since 2013. I see myself as a friendly, approachable person with a keen interest for drums and music education. My professional goal is to share my passion with as many people as possible, be that through performances or my lessons. I take pride in what I do and feel extremely lucky to have built a career from what started as my favourite hobby.
My passion for the instrument was born from a love of music. I began playing live when I was 14 and enjoyed being part of the local music scene in a number of bands throughout my teens. To date, I have performed, recorded and taught around the UK, and in Europe.
Throughout my musical journey, I have gained a number of qualifications specific to performing, recording and teaching music. These include BSc Hons, Drumset Grade 8, ATCL & LTCL Teaching Diplomas, and a DipRSL Drumset Performance Diploma too. I have also attended a number of professional development courses based around health & safety and child safeguarding.
Away from work, I am a proud husband and father. My little girl, born in 2021, has already shown an interest in music and has even been on stage with me. Safe to say she turned more heads than me whilst doing it too!
I am currently learning to play guitar which I regularly use in my lessons in order to promote musicality and playing with others.
Aside from music, I also love outdoor cooking, craft beer and sound & vision technology.
